Martin is a self employed consultant (non solicitor) at Wilkin Chapman Goolden and is an experienced former senior police officer and public sector manager. He was a former police superintendent and holds a degree in Public Policy and Administration from INLOGOV, Birmingham University where he is a visiting lecturer. He has held senior posts in CID and Operations, lectured at the Police Staff College and conducted sensitive police misconduct investigations for other police forces in the UK.

He has expertise in training, investigations, business process review and criminal law. He was an associate investigator for the Standards Board for England and Clerk to a town council. Martin has investigated numerous cases of alleged breaches of the local government code of conduct for councils, conducted chief officer disciplinary investigations and undertaken training and conciliation. He is also the Administrator for Lincolnshire Law Society.
